We invite academics, practitioners, policymakers, and civil society actors to contribute to this conference through three distinct submission types, designed to encourage a wide range of engagement formats and perspectives:
1. Full Research Papers
• Complete manuscripts based on empirical studies or comprehensive theoretical analyses.
• Length: 5,000–8,000 words.
• Eligible for consideration in the Journal of Regional and City Planning (JRCP), an internationally recognized Q2 journal.
2. Extended Abstracts
• Long-form abstracts presenting the key ideas or preliminary findings from ongoing or near-complete research.
• Maximum length: 2,000 words.
• Designed to enable broader participation, especially for contributors with limited time to prepare a full paper.
3. Reflections and Provocations Paper
• Short contributions include critical reflections, well-argued opinions, or provocative ideas related to the seminar theme.
• Length: 1,000–1,500 words.
• These submissions do not need to follow conventional research formats and are ideal for sparking dialogue, challenging assumptions, or proposing new perspectives.
• Accepted submissions will be featured in interactive roundtable discussion sessions.
4. Posters
• Visual summaries of research, ongoing work, project results, or conceptual frameworks.
• Poster size: A1 (portrait orientation).
• Ideal for participants who prefer a visual medium or wish to showcase work-inprogress.
• Posters will be presented during a dedicated poster session with opportunities for informal discussion and networking.
All prospective participants are required to submit an abstract as the first step in the submission process, regardless of submission type. Abstracts will be reviewed by the conference committee to assess their relevance, quality, and fit with the conference theme and tracks.
